We've picked so many blueberries we are now numbering containers so that we keep track of which to eat first! Also some raspberries (mixed in with blueberries because all we had when we came across the raspberries was a container already half-full with blueberries!) - we'll need to eat those tonight. We've also had blackberries (already eaten). And finally, the piece de resistance, a small collection of chanterelle mushrooms (Pfifferlinge). Yummy!
The brush had grown up so tall around the workshop and the old road that you couldn't really see the waterfall anymore. After a morning with loppers, garden shears, and some chainsaw support, you can see it again! Here's hoping the clearing will also allow the various berry bushes to thrive in front of the shop.
Neal built a new "bridge" for the dam from some leftover deck material after the last one he built was swept away by high water sometime in the last two years. Then he stained not just the bridge, which was a "test piece" but the whole rest of the new deck.
I only just found this piece today. Besides the message and the art itself (those are popsicle stick Truffalo Trees!), I was struck with the difference in spelling ability between the "KampInK" post just a few months ago. Maybe she had help? Either way, she cares enough to get it right and that is great!
