Camp Tanner!
Graydon has been attending "Camp Tanner" this week. Activities include sailing, learning to crack pecans with Gramps' contraption (with the enticement of pecan pie as motivation), building cool stuff with toys that are too small to play with around Wiley, hiking at Dripping Springs with a wildlife biologist, and much more!

Friendly neighbors
Little buck eating our shrubs says "who, me?" But I caught him red-handed eating leaves off the pear tree in the front. He'll claim it's too fuzzy to ID him, but I was there and I saw him do it!
Fun at the lake
We brought out the ski boat this weekend. Mami and Daddy took turns on the wake board. Between the low water levels and our August plans, this may be it's only trip of the season. A good time was had by all - including kiwi! She got to come along and even retrieve her bumper a few times in the middle of the lake. She learned quickly that to get back on board, she had to swim to the stern and one of us would drag her in by the collar. It worked pretty well!
Proud Mama
Recently rediscovered this certificate in the kitchen drawer of random things. A lot of blood, sweat, tears, and -yes, milk - went into the making of this certificate. Wiley doesn't seem to have minded.

Mami Hard at Work!
I am adjusting the flow at a sample tap at a pump station for one of the Colorado River Municipal Water District's pipelines. The water from here is blended with (highly) treated wastewater and sent to a number of water treatment plants for further treatment before delivery to people's homes. We're sampling water from both sources. It's a competition to see which water has better quality!

Watching THE game
You can watch the game and then you can watch THE game. Everyone wearing their true colours (well, except for Andrew, whom we coerced into wearing an extra jersey) and watching intently! We actually had 8/10 of the people in our house wearing the Schwarz-Rot-Gold.

Friends from around the world
Andrew and Zoe are visiting from Australia! So the old Mountain View Crew (plus a couple more recent additions - Greta and Wiley) got together for a nice BBQ dinner at the County Line.
No laughing matter
Wiley was a little unsure about the white foamy stuff in the bath tub (not his usual fare) and was definitely NOT impressed with the ball of foam I put on his head. But after he got a good look at the one I put on Graydon's head (whose idea the bubbles were in the first place), he was somewhat mollified. We still aborted bath time a little early because the bubbles were simply too overwhelming. ("Where did my legs go?!?"). Graydon, on the other hand, didn't emerge from the tub until he was thoroughly pruny.
