Throwback!

Since it didn't work the last times ( I guess because I tried to send to much pictures at once ) here some pictures from Wiley and Portia at the army museum some weeks ago :-)

Happy Birthday, Wiley!

Wiley helped us get ready for his party, and then thoroughly enjoyed playing with all his friends! And the weather held long enough for everyone to play in the back yard instead of tearing the house apart - yes!! We dig it!

That's probably the sweetest thing I've seen in a long time :-)

Wiley was feeling a little under the weather but recovered and had a nice low-key actual 4th birthday. His party is next Sunday!

After a full day of skiing (and a late night traveling across the country before that), he didn't even make it through the 10 minute car ride back to the house.

The smile in the post-ski photo says it all! But when we got back to Austin and it was 25C and muggy, plus Graydon found that Wiley had been shorn while he was gone, he also wanted his hair cut. Nana was more than happy to oblige!

Graydon's favorite two runs

While he successfully transitioned from skiing greens in the morning of the first day to his first black diamond run only an hour or so later, he was most comfortable on blues. These two were especially good fits - narrow canyons through the trees where you could ski up and down the sides like a half-pipe. He had a blast!

Lake Tahoe!

In our desperate efforts to avoid avoid filling our house with seven-year-olds for a birthday party, we convinced Graydon that a weekend skiing in Lake Tahoe would be an acceptable substitute. Thanks to Nana and Gramps for taking care of the little ones while we are gone - and thanks to Erik and Katie Jo for hosting us at their ski house! Here are some impressions from Heavenly Resort yesterday. We're off to Kirkwood Mountain today.
