"Nap"

This is what Wiley did this weekend when he was supposed to be napping. The photo was taken surreptitiously around the corner so he didn't see anyone watching. I guess there are worse things than "reading" quietly to oneself for an hour at two years of age...

Boys waiting

I took the boys along to my 38 week ultrasound this week. They, like most of the rest of us with no training in ultrasound interpretation, didn't really appreciate the images too much. And their baby sister wasn't presenting very well, either. Too bad we didn't get a sneak preview 3D image like we did with Wiley. But all those details aside, all appears to be well.

Big Strong Helper

Graydon was helping Daddy shovel manure at the lake this weekend. He's turning into a really helpful little guy to have around. Look at those growing muscles, too!

More Wiley and the Cat

Since Nana has more or less officially adopted the friendly neighborhood cat, it hangs around the house at the lake quite often. It gets along with everyone, including Kiwi (most of the time!). But especially Wiley is super-excited to snuggle.

Bluebonnets!

Bluebonnet tours

The bluebonnets are spectacular this year. We have some photos on the good camera already. Will grab a few on my phone today. In the mean time, Nana is running four-wheeler tours to the beachfront for photos. First takers: Graydon and Ralf!

It's HUGE!

That was Graydon's reaction to our new car. After waiting for a full three months for it to arrive, we finally picked up our new car today. We spent almost 5 hours at the dealership working through the features GM forgot to include and then all the paperwork - phew! In the end, we're pretty happy with what we got. Ralf took the boys to the Aquarium where I'm sure they had a lot more fun than we did. Car shopping is no fun - but having a new car is pretty neat-o! :)

One More Reason Mami Loves her Job

The people I work with are so awesome! They put together this great completely surprise baby shower for me yesterday. They had me hook-line-and-sinker with a meeting invitation for a mandatory office meeting in the conference room. I walked in late, with a notebook and pen, ready to take notes on the outcome of the company-wide survey. I was greeted with a room full of people clapping and cheering. With this great event alone, our baby girl has pretty much single-handedly gone from being forever consigned to wear her brothers' blue-brown-green-camo hand-me-downs to the best-dressed little lady in town. Not to mention best-diapered.... What a nice surprise!

Wrestling with Daddy

This is a favorite after-dinner activity. Wiley is especially fond of lying on your face. Graydon goes more for the full belly (ooof). Even Kiwi jumps into the fray (yummy food residue!).

This is also a common picture when I (Mami) get home from work - except in that case it's Ralf at the bottom of the pile!

Graydon isn't the only soccer player in the family..

Wiley had lots of fun kicking around a ball at Graydon's soccer practice yesterday. (Sorry, no photos of Graydon - he's too fast for the iPhone camera!)
