Thomas comes to Burnet!

Graydon was so excited to ride on Thomas' train this morning! He wore his Thomas t-shirt (really a pajama top), his Thomas hat and even Thomas underwear (not shown). After the 20-minute ride, we had fun at other activities like mini-golf, a magic show, a kids' climbing wall, and a human xylophone (Graydon got to be one of the pitches). Wiley was happy to take it all in from the Björn and Nana and Mami were just glad they still had tickets for the train when we got there because we hadn't gotten them ahead of time. Can you imagine the cataclysmic tantrum we might have had if they had been sold out..?

Sleeping in the shopping cart

Wiley got so comfortable in his new seat in the shopping cart that he promptly fell asleep. The Lawrence-of-Arabia-Schnookie was to keep the sun off his head while we watched the construction vehicles next to the Target parking lot for a while. Good thing Graydon was being such a good big brother by holding him up so he didn't bonk his head!

Blue Moon Brewery

I am at a conference in Denver and one of the events was a Rockies game last night. As part of our ticket, we got a tour of the original Blue Moon brewery which is located within the stadium. I think there are some folks who might be amused that this was the only photo I took the whole time... ;)

A different kind of ride

I got tired of having to try to fit the car seat and all the groceries in the basket so I put Wiley in the built-in seat. He looked like he'd been riding in the cart his whole life.

Graydon got up and running (with a little help from behind) on only his third attempt!

Graydon hasn't had an eddy (pacifier) all week so today he got a bike with pedals!

Mutant Toenails

We really don't know for sure what caused this, but we have conjectured that it was a side effect from when Graydon had hand, foot, and mouth disease a couple of months ago. Since then, most of his fingers and toes grew what looked like two nails on top of each other for a while. They've all grown out by now except for his two big toes pictured below.

We got all new HVAC ducts upstairs as part of our attic insulation effort. The upstairs AC can actually keep up now!
