Travel hiccups
We arrived safely in Montreal (sans Daddy, who will be joining us in a couple days). Our bags, unfortunately, fell victim to the Chicago airport and/or United - Air Canada hand-off disfunction. At least both airlines agree that they are in Chicago and will be delivered to us this evening. The upside is that because of Air Canada's risk management policy, we are now the proud owners of two new cars seats (they'll bring ours back, too). Not loaners, ours to keep. The boys seem to like them just fine.

Bulldozer!
Daddy and Graydon got to drive a real-life not-a-toy bulldozer this weekend. It was really exciting. There's a video, too, but I need to edit it down before I can post it. In the mean time, here's the quick iPhone photo to serve as a placeholder.

I can sit!
Look - I'm sitting, all by myself!! I knew today was destined for greatness when Mami dressed me in my duck-duck-moose onesie and the bottoms referred to in our house as the "awesome pants" this morning!

Peas!!
I got peas for the first time last night. I had been eating rice cereal for a few weeks but for whatever reason, Mami wanted to further challenge my GI tract...?!?
In any case, I was merrily eating my cereal and opened my mouth very widely for the next bite. And all of a sudden, there was this taste like nothing I had ever tasted before. I had to sit, perfectly still, staring blankly at the wall for at least a minute to contemplate it. Was it the texture? The flavour? The colour? Whatever it was, it was INTENSE. But then I snapped out of it, decided I liked it, and kept on eating merrily.
Today is my 5-month birthday and to celebrate, I was rewarded (at breakfast) with some cereal to get warmed up and then the whole rest of the jar. It was AWESOME! Here are some pics.

Helping Gramps
With the lake down ~33' we spent part of the weekend moving the irrigation pump further down the hill. Graydon was excited about the big hole and happy to watch Gramps work.

Skiing Practice
We haven't quite made it to the boat ramp yet, but Graydon was excited to ski behind the boat anyway.

Graydon the Hunter
As we were leaving the house on Sunday morning, Graydon headed out into the yard and by the time I had locked the door and turned around he had cunningly stalked up to one of the great wild beasts.
Bath by Kiwi
Good thing we have Kiwi! She is so thorough and gets into all those hard-to-reach places!
