New haircut

We finally cut off the (still thin, but rather long) mane this evening. This is definitely a more appropriate summer cut!

Watermelon

After getting back into town this evening and discovering that the AC doesn't work, Graydon helped us eat part of an enormous watermelon.

And here's the reason...

... our garden is growing so well!

Fun with a Leaf Blower

Bluebonnet face plant

Graydon has been very conscious (and verbal) about not stepping on the bluebonnets. When he kicked his ball into the bluebonnets this evening, he couldn't figure out how to get to it without stepping on the flowers. We eventually told him that it was ok to step on the flowers in order to go get the ball. He took one final look back at us and then took off into the flower patch at a dead run. He made it about 3 steps before face planting in the bed of bluebonnets.

Quick post-supper trip to the creek

We took a quick post-supper walk/ tricycle ride to the creek this evening. Round trip was only about 15 minutes, but it got us all out of the house. On the ay home, Graydon made it most of the way up the hill pedaling all by himself. He only needed a little push back up the (rather steep) driveway.

We bought a house!
